oggm.workflow.count_rgi_chunks#
- oggm.workflow.count_rgi_chunks(rgidf, chunk_size=1000)[source]#
Number of chunks the given glaciers fall into.
This is derived from the RGI ids, not chosen: it is the highest chunk index plus one. Note that chunks can therefore be uneven, and the last one is often small.
- Parameters:
- rgidfgeopandas.GeoDataFrame or list of str
the glaciers to partition (an RGI dataframe or a list of RGI ids)
- chunk_sizeint
100 or 1000 (default). See
oggm.workflow.get_rgi_chunk().
- Returns:
- the number of chunks (int)
